Apple really needs to get out the enhancements of an update for iPhone 4 CDMA.
There are reports that this has happened.

Shall we say that each iPad and iPod touch is now more snappy?
Huzzah! The flicker was driving me nuts on my new iPod touch.
I witnessed the flicker for the first time today when an alarm/alert went off. Interesting.
My hope is that there is an improvement for battery drain.
No doubt.
I love updates from Apple! Unlike updates with Windows where I’m scared to death each and every time. Apple updates is just the opposite. More fun and more snappy moments with my Apple gear!
Right… Issues connecting to cell towers? Flickering of screens? You think that’s normal and nothing to be afraid of? Apple needs new beta testers…
You need a bigger shovel to carry… the one you have is not enough to shovel all that crap your pooping out of your ass! lol
CDMA?
personal hotspot works on my 3GS :))
Did it had to be 666.0 MB?
Yes, and it took a Hell of a long time to download….
Now I am on my third download. Apparently they are different sizes for the iPad (just got today from Verizon for $300), the iPad 2, and the iPhone 4.
I still have a 3GS to do and I won’t be surprised if it is another download.
Thankfully iTunes does a pretty good job of downloading, updating and syncing several products at once while listening to “Court and Spark” to boot.
Yes, each device has their own .ipsw file.
And now a fourth download for the 3GS.
419.9 MBs.
Yah!
Why does Apple even bother beta testing several versions to come out with another fix a week later? Fail!
No. Just thorough..
Don’t agree! Would rather update often to address critical issues. Apple cares about his customers
Just went to the apple store last night about the graphics glitch on my just over a month old iPod touch. Of course I couldn’t get the glitch to show up while I was there. Anyway my genius bar help said that she was not aware of any issue and that I would need to put my touch in recovery mode and wipe the firmware. That it was probably an issue there and that yes I would have to reinstall all my apps and reorganize them all over again. So glad I didn’t follow that advice.
The server farm in Maiden, NC can’t come fast enough. Here it is, 7:30AM east coast on a Sat morning and the download is trickling in at 300KB/sec (my d/l speed is 1500KB/sec). 24 minutes to complete.
I’m wondering if, after going through the effort of toggling the Developer Mode to get the four-finger Multitasking gestures on my iPad (iOS 4.3), installing the new iOS update will cause that feature to revert. Anyone have any info on that?
I’m not sure why you had to “toggle the Developer’s mode” to have access to the 4/5 finger left/right swipe running application switching feature. But it’s Apple adding such an elegantly implemented feature without any fanfare announcement in v4.3 without cost that keeps me just loving Apple. The v4.3.1 patch did not seem to affect access to the feature or put any undue strain on application sped or battery drain. Thank you Apple.
Damn I need to find a way to get the new iPhone 4. My iPhone 3G is so outdated now but according to my provider (Fido) I still have to wait another year before I can upgrade my phone.
