Apple today introduced iPad 2, the next generation of its revolutionary device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading ebooks and much more.
iPad 2 features an entirely new design that is 33% thinner and up to 15% lighter than the original iPad, while maintaining the same 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen.
iPad 2 features Apple’s brand new dual-core A5 processor for fast performance and stunning graphics and now includes two cameras, a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime and Photo Booth, and a rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video, bringing FaceTime to iPad users for the first time.
Though it is thinner, lighter, faster and packed with new features, iPad 2 still delivers up to 10 hours of battery life that users have come to expect. iPad 2 is available in black or white, and features models that run on AT&T’s and Verizon’s 3G networks.
During the unveiling by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the following 6:02 iPad 2 introductory video was shown:
[Thanks to MacDailyNews readers too numerous to mention individually for the heads up.]
I am blown away!
Pretty clear who the next Apple employee who will be on the Exec team, Michael Tchao.
SWEEEEET!!
As soon as the iWeb app is available so that I can upload photos and stories to my blog and website while travelling the world, I will get the iPad 2. This feature is essential.
Sure!
Outstanding!
And leaves the competition out standing in the boonies…
Methinks Preston Galla IS Zune Tang!

“Gee thanks for the deep, insightful analysis. I regret the page view I gave you.”
LMAO on that comment.
the guy has no clue what he’s talking about.
He doesn’t really ever mention how exactly all this ‘trump’ing is happening. Nice to know that the Xoom runs Gmail and Google Maps. Wish my iPad could do that… >.<
Ha. seriously C1. they ALL do that. unsubstantiated hot air.
Will this forum birth a XOOM TANG? that is the question…
come out, come out wherever you are…
The true hilarity comes when you realize this guy had some severe issues getting his Xoom running correctly. Check out Preston Galla’s “article” on how his PC refused to recognize his Xoom, and the “drivers wouldn’t install right”.

the level of blind hypocrisy is incredible.
oh..and I am frothing for next Friday!
Are we going to eventually be able to watch the keynote?
I have a tendency to watch them several times.
From the look of things, I’m tempted to upgrade even without the Retina screen.
the whole keynote is now on the apple keynote podcast!
I just gave my iPad 1 to my mother: delivery on March 25.
