MacDailyNews Take: If this passes, Ballmer’s brilliant strategy of using Windows instead of Windows Phone ’07 for tablets just might to corner the highly-coveted cheap French n00b tablet market.

  1. @ There would be no USA without France

There is no doubt America would have lost the American Revolution without French aid, which was so expensive for France it helped bankrupt Louis XVI’s regime (along with tax cuts for the aristocracy).

  2. @There would be no USA without France:

Any debt we owed France was paid by Pershing in World War I. If there us any debt incurred for helping allies, starting June 6, 1944, they owe us—big time. Those who think otherwise should visit the cemeteries in Normandy.

  3. Where’s the argument? The American Revolution succeeded because of French involvement. The Allies won the World Wars because of American involvement. Both propositions are correct, whether the circumstances differed. Americans certainly paid more dearly in lives and treasure; they also won more advantage.
