There is no doubt America would have lost the American Revolution without French aid, which was so expensive for France it helped bankrupt Louis XVI’s regime (along with tax cuts for the aristocracy).

Where’s the argument? The American Revolution succeeded because of French involvement. The Allies won the World Wars because of American involvement. Both propositions are correct, whether the circumstances differed. Americans certainly paid more dearly in lives and treasure; they also won more advantage.
Without the French or the British the Yanks would be speaking Spannish – and may yet do so – in about 100 years

Every country needs to cut spending, size of government, wasteful programs (99% of government spending) and get the hell out of the way. Taxing iPads is asinine!
