“Dell has quietly instituted a large price cut on the Streak in the US,” Electronista reports. “The unlocked versions have been slashed by $180 to reach $400. Versions of the Android tablet tied to AT&T still have similar prices at $550 and $650 for their respective 16GB and 32GB of storage.”
“The company didn’t explain the reason for the steep drop,” Electronista reports. “Its timing was nonetheless unusual and happened just four months after the US launch.”
Electronista reports, “Historically, companies have usually cut prices sharply on devices when sales are slow and the cost of manufacturing is low enough to avoid taking a loss. Dell has never disclosed its Streak sales figures.”

MacDailyNews Take: With its pipsqueak physique and lack of mystique, the future is bleak for Dell’s weak Streak. If you listen carefully, you can hear Mikey shreik, “I’m up shit creek!” Yes, sales are meek and it’s soon to be an antique; probably within the week. If you own one, you’re not a geek, you’re quite the freak. And, minor critique, just a bit of a tweak, um, you kinda reek. It’s as if you’re trying to sneak another kind of streak. Eek! Seriously, you might wanna take a peek. But, hey, on the bright side, even if you’re not at all chic, at least you’re certainly unique. You’re the peak of a one-person clique!
