Hello Enterprise
What I’d really like is a better way to manage the images on iOS devices. Why not just let me see them in iTunes?
Yeah, C1, what’s up with the syncing of photos through iPhoto while the rest goes through iTunes? AND you need to manually sync in iPhoto (ie. syncing through iTunes doesn’t automatically do sync in iPhoto).
Apple needs to set it up so that you choose your sync settings in iTunes and then photos are synced into iPhoto without even launching that program.
@C1
By ‘images’ do you mean photos or do you mean like a system OS image?

Sorry… photos. Cubert got part of the issue.
It’s just frustrating to deal with the Camera Roll if you don’t use iPhoto (or, in fact, even if you do). It’s easy enough to download stuff into a real editing program like Lightroom. But then when you want to delete photos the have to go through them on the phone, selecting them one at a time to delete. It’s a real bitch.
If we could just see the same scrolling previews in iTunes and be able to organize them into folders, and select lots at a time with shift-click… just a little bit of file management is all I ask for.
“But then when you want to delete photos, you have to…”
(All that said, if there is something in iPhoto ’11 that does this, please let me know. I just upgraded to ’11 for ’06. (!) I’m sure a lot’s happened since then.
@ ChrissyOne, I see this issue has deposited a bee in your bonnet!
Indeed!
Happy Holidays C1!
I would prefer iTunes to do tunes related stuff, like music, and do it well. I would like to have the Mac App store maybe merged with the iOS App store, and then keep both of them seperate from the iTunes. Maybe a video or the iMovie to take care of all the movies bought and rented, as well shot with your camcorder. Finally, maybe an iSync application on the Mac/Windows desktop that’ll allow all these separate applications to sync with the iOS devices without launching those applications. Basically, un-bloating of the iTunes, cloud based or otherwise.
Just tell your Mac to use image capture instead! You can individually pick and choose.
What is this?

This would be good for parents to keep their kids from using adult oriented material on their devices.
