Google Zeitgeist: Apple iPad more popular than Justin Bieber

Apple’s revolutionary “iPad is more popular [than] shaggy-coiffed teen idol Justin Bieber – at least in Google searches,” Nicole Martinelli reports for Cult of Mac.

“Google released results of its annual Zeitgeist findings, which capture key search trends, using Google’s Insights for Search and Google Trends data analytics tools,” Martinelli reports. “Google’s top two fastest rising queries worldwide are both tech-related: Chatroulette and Apple’s newest product, the iPad.”

Martinelli reports, “Rounding out the top five are Justin Bieber, wardrobe challenged-popster Nicki Minaj and game site Friv.”

  1. “Chatroulette” is rising in the query rankings? I thought Chatroulette was “over” months ago, crushed into irrelevancy under the weight of all the male gentalia displayed on that service.

  2. not a comparison you’d want. Given how gay bieber is, does that mean ipad is more gay?

    Seriously, why tarnish ipad’s rep with such a comparison. Choose something cooler and claim victory by comparison over that. Just remember though: popularity doesn’t necessarily equate to better. Windoze is the perfect example of that.

  3. I don’t understand the Bieber thing. So Overrated!!!!

    Was switching channels durring the other night when I landed on the Rewards. Bieber was singing and I thought he had a cold, switched the channel after a minute.
