FiOS on the BiOs
Verizon should focus on updating their FiOS DVR firmware before worrying about this.
How abot the ability to replay recorded content from the DVR on an iOS device over 3G or a wireless network. Verizon, will you make that happen please? (Isn’t AT&T or Comcast alredy doing this?)

Comcast says they are working on it for their xfinity customers…but not yet.
Nice of you to think about the Apple market place and users. I do what I can to consider these Johnny come lately losers last.
Here’s the FIOS situation today:
1) price is equal to cable TV/internet service.
2) packages are bundled as bad or worse than cable service.
3) speeds are good but not guaranteed to be vastly superior to cable service.
4) Verizon keeps advertising their expensive “triple play” TV/internet/VOIP package crap as if the world hasn’t already adopted cell phones.
5) despite higher bandwidth potential, FIOS TV doesn’t seem to offer substantially greater 1080p offerings — still compressed, non-HD video
6) Verizon doesn’t seem to offer the potential customer any financial incentive to take a day off work for their installation crew to install new equipment.
7) While FIOS may offer superior customer service, this is not what attracts new customers. Exceptional customer service retains existing customers; price and content/capability/performance attract new customers.
8) Ambeault doesn’t provide any specifics to indicate what the forthcoming Verizon apps will do for the iPad that isn’t already available elsewhere.
So even though FIOS is available in our neighborhhood, it doesn’t seem as though Verizon is trying very hard to incentivize anyone to switch.
Verizon, here are four recommendations:
1) drop your FIOS internet price 5%
2) offer a FIOS internet + basic TV bundle for $55/month max
3) offer a 50-channel a-la-carte FIOS TV option at a reasonable price
4) offer all your FIOS TV content in 1080p
…then maybe you’d have a chance of displacing the entrenched cable monopolies.
