2K a day = 6 mil. a month. Not too shabby – but spread over 4 US carriers and however many foreign carriers and umpteen models of phones – not as impressive as it might seem at first.

Curious how you’d explain the European market then.. iPhone is on multiple carriers,there are no two for one Android offers ad it was just announced last week that Android is about to surpass iOs..

Understood, my point being is if only being available on one carrier is what’s holding iPhone back in the US, then what’s the excuse in the European market where it’s available on multiple carriers.
The growth is decelerating since the vacuum left by Windows Mobile and Symbian is already filled. All big mobile manufactories interested in a new mobile operating system have already changed to Android, so new market potential is limited from now.
Microsoft will take millions of marketing dollars to fight back with Windows Phone 7 and Nokia will stay with Symbian as long as it takes.
The Verizon iphone will only be the icing on the cake and wont stopp the acceleration they will even bring the turn arround in Androids success story. Companies like Motorola will face real trouble in Q1/11, because their most important product Droid on Verizon will collapse to half of their present market share.
Anti-Mac people just are about “proving” that NOT HAVING an Apple device is supposed to be more trendy than having one!

My son bought a HTC Aria and after playing with a bit I’ve come to the conclusion that the Android system is the bastard child of Microsoft and Blackberry. It is definitely NOT polished or stable like iOS
Having dinner and overheard a group of people in their 50’s – 60’s talking about their Android phones. You hear “apps” “movies” “google map” “touch screen interface” and so on. The pathetic part was how they were giving Google all the credit for inventing all this stuff for the phone. One idiot said the iPhone works like an android but it’s not as good since it’s not open! Haha another not open therefore not many apps will be available soon like Android. Because it’s open and iPhone is not! Hahahaha the campaign actually works for non techie people!

I’d like to see what will happen here at MDN if 2011 comes and goes without iPhone on Verizon.
There were no verifiable reports of Apple getting out of the 5-year exclusivity agreement with AT&T. It seems that a lot of Verizon fans in the MDN crowd prefer to ignore the 5-year agreement.
I checked my Safari cookies and deleted 25 of them that had google in their title.
