“People familiar with the latest build of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, dubbed 10J537, said it is a is a 1,000MB download,” AppleInsider reports. “The first build of Mac OS X 10.6.6 was released on Nov. 4.”
AppleInsider reports, “Mac OS X 10.6.6 reportedly ‘contains developer support for fetching and renewing App Store receipts,’ which could mean that the 10.6.6 update is scheduled for release in time for the opening of the Mac App Store, which is set to arrive within the next few months.”

Why the hell are these updates so incredibly honkin huge. Apple needs to start putting these updates on a damn diet. At the rate they are going, you pretty much will end up downloading a 4.7gig dvd iso each time they do updates, and end up having to reinstall the whole damn OS each time.
@ Joe, yeah I know a gig takes me a whole 9 mins to download.
