  1. @ Fredo

The auto bailout ‘cost the taxpayers’ nothing? Seriously? Who told you that, Ed Whitacre?

I understood the ‘pro-bailout’ arguments given the circumstances, but let’s not kid ourselves about the billions of dollars that are yet to be – and may never will be – repaid.

  2. The auto bailout is nothing compared to the hundreds of billions in losses at Freddie and Fannie which the last Democratic Congress ordered them to take sub-prime housing loans.

Why is the Federal Reserve printing money? Because it’s cheapening the dollar and causing inflation for everyone to pay more for their goods and services to pay for the past Democratic Congress’s gambling in sub-prime mortgages during the bubble.

Lesson, don’t elect Socialist Liberal Democrats, they can’t even run their home base of California right. Look at Chavez if you want to see how America would look like under their total rule.

  3. @Bunches— It takes two to tango and when it comes to driving economies into the ditch, GOP prefers to lead.

Subprime: you mean what George W. Bush branded an “Ownership Society.” Or I suppose you would have had a million families thrown on the street for GWB’s fetishization of homeownership and regulatory mistakes, instead of Freddy and Fannie taking the hit…

    California: Prop 13…
