What’s the logic in of phasing out a product for a platform that doesn’t need that product? Does Flash work on Windows? Does flash work on Symbian?
We all know the history of Flash & Apple.
As recently as two years ago I may have cared.
Today I don’t.
so, where the f is iPad update…The Beatles thing is all there is?
The issue is if people use this app it gives companies a reason to keep making flash and not worrying about webpages that are flash based

That has been MDN’s position since this came out. The use of this type of capability undermines the motivation for companies/web sites to transition their content to non-Flash formats. The convenience in the short term may be more than offset by the pain of a protracted withdrawal from Flash.
Better to kill Flash quickly and move on.

I haven’t ‘needed’ Flash either but I do wish html5 video was embraced by some rather important organisations sooner rather than later.
