“Apple tonight began offering movies through the iTunes Store in Japan,” iPodNN reports.
“The expansion gives locals both translated versions of English-language movies like Toy Story 3 as well as Japan-specific titles, such as Ototo, Odoru Daisousasen The Movie 2,” iPodNN reports. “Viewers get the extended rights available in some countries, starting with the usual 30 days to start watching and 48 hours to finish watching once playback has started.”
iPodNN reports, “Prices start at 200 yen for a back catalog, standard definition rental and move up to 400 for new releases at the same resolution.”

いいね!よかったです!
You need to either have a credit card from Japan or a prepaid iTunes card from Japan. I think the latter would be easier for you. If you have any friends in Japan have them pick one up at a convenient store and send it to you.

Usual 48 hours? Isn’t it just 24 hours in the US?
No HD movies for Japan though?
Still, a good global expansion of iTunes movies.

Why the hell do you think this is an appropriate forum for bullshit spam posts?
Your troll posting pollutes and dilutes this excellent place. Go away and don’t come back!
Also in Italy now the store is open!

Echoing Marc and Scott in Japan
FINALLY !!!
Hoping for the all-in-one Apple home theater before we have to replace our old analog TV next year.
I really wish it was easier to purchase international content via Apple TV here in the US. Here in NY, so many folks from around the world…
Apple hates the Japanese!
