Apple today seeded iOS developers with iOS SDK 4.2 beta 3, iOS 4.2 beta 3, and iTunes 10.1 beta 2 via the iOS Dev Center.
• Xcode and iOS SDK 4.2 beta 3: This is a pre-release version of the iOS SDK, as part of the complete Xcode developer toolset for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
• iOS 4.2 beta 3: This is a pre-release version of iOS 4.2 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
• iTunes 10.1 beta 2: This is a pre-release version of iTunes 10.1 beta 2 to support testing of printing from your iOS app.

I can’t say that I’m excited about learning that printing is done thru iTunes. Sheesh, the program is already a beast. Now it’s a print server too?
I was hoping for printing straight from iOS directly to a network printer, not via another computer (running iTunes)

It doesn’t print through iTunes. It prints with certain enabled printers from HP as well as standard shared printers in OSX.
Consider it confirmed from a developer. Multitasking and folders is simply awesome on the iPad. I can’t imagine this device without them at this point.
