New Apple iPhone 4 ad focuses on amazing Retina display (with video)

Apple has debuted a new television ad on U.S. broadcast and cable networks called “Every.”

The iPhone 4’s Retina display is the highest resolution phone screen, ever. Which means all your photos, movies, emails, and even apps look more amazing than ever before.

MacDailyNews Take: Wonder why they didn’t at least mention that the Retina display is also available on the new iPod touch? Perhaps they determined that it would confuse the message, but the amazing Retina display really isn’t just available “only on the iPhone 4” anymore.

[Thanks to MacDailyNews Readers too numerous to mention individually for the heads up.]

  1. What I would really like is a better Droid commercial:

“You’ve never seen a phone like (this, this, & this). Because everything we are showing is simulated. And not time shortened like the iPhone4 commercials, but completely made up. Wouldn’t it be nice if our phone actually did all the things we are talking about? And to see people using it, instead of a cybernetic monstrosity?

“Droid… These are not the Droids you are looking for.”

  3. The commercial says the retina display is the highest resolution phone screen ever.

Then they say it is only found on the iPhone.

    No mention of iPod touch?

What part of “highest resolution phone screen ever” didn’t you understand?

  5. it’s actually not the only phone with that res anymore. There’s another phone, I think by samsung, that has matched the resolution, in a 3.5 inch display.
Apple can’t claim it’s the only one anymore!

  7. You are probably thinking of the articles about the Sharp IS03. It doesn’t ship for another month (although the articles are fuzzy on that), and it will be Japan-only. So Apple can make that claim for at least another month, especially for a US commercial.
