Apple approves official Google Voice app; to debut in App Store within weeks, sources say

“The App Store review office at 1 Infinite Loop has officially frozen over: we’ve gotten word that the official Google Voice application is on its way to the iPhone in the next few weeks,” Jason Kincaid reports for TechCrunch.

“In fact, we’ve heard from a source close to Google that it’s already been approved — Google just needs to revamp the application to work with the iPhone 4 and iOS’s multitasking capabilities,” Kincaid reports.

In case you’ve forgotten, the app was initially rejected months before the iOS4 SDK was released. If you were a business, would you seriously continue spending money and resources to update the app to the latest OS when you’ve already been told it’s not allowed on the previous OS?
