“Apple could be expanding the iPad’s retail presence into Target stores just in time for the holiday shopping season,” Donald Melanson reports for Engadget, citing a “tipster.”
“That includes a list featuring a mysteriously unnamed product that’s set to become available on October 3rd (in six different versions, no less), and a series of images from a Target PDA that seemingly show that the item numbers match the iPad prices exactly,” Melanson reports.

MacDailyNews Take: iPad joining iPod in Target in time for Christmas shopping season is an excellent development, even if it is utterly predictable.
This is a good move. Not everyone likes to buy sight unseen, and there’s not as many Apple stores as there are Target.
The iPad Avalanche will continue it’s conquest of the new computing paradigm.

The prices are wrong for Apple – it’s 599,99 etc – so it is more likely to be one of the Android Tablets at the same price point.
