Invisible Shield for Apple iPhone 4!“While the news today that Microsoft has killed its troubled Kin line didn’t come as the craziest of surprises, it’s definitely left a lot of lingering questions about just what happened,” Joshua Topolsky reports for Engadget. “Now we may have a little insight into what went wrong — and what might be in store down the road — thanks to a reliable source of ours who’s shared some news on Redmond’s inner turmoil.”

MacDailyNews Take: Yeah, like going from floating atop the water to resting on the bottom. May Steve Ballmer keep rearranging the deck chairs for as long as it takes!

  1. Gates could care less, I believe. If asked whether he’d ever consider returning to the helm of Microsoft, he’d make a joke of the idea and quickly change the subject.

By the end of his time there he no longer recognized the company he co-founded.

SS Microsoft is a massive ship that was bolted together over a kernal of a keel that now drags the bottom; a ship that has more leaks than stowaways; a ship whose anchors can’t keep it from drifting like that massive garbage heap out in the pacific that is comprised of mostly plastic crapware and has become as big as the state of Texas.

Bill gates would rather live on that floatilla of frick n’ frack and castaways, than assume control of a ship whose pilot house is in the clouds.

  2. What the hell is this?!? Are the college interns still on the job? Geeze, I’m looking for a cheap magazine and all I get is a cheap story about Ballmer. I can get Ballmer stories here by the dozen. Now gimme the Wired story, dammit…
