According to NetApplications, browser usage share on the iPad has already surpassed usage share on both the Android platform and the iPod touch.
Since the number of Android and iPod touch units sold vastly outnumber iPad units sold, this is an indication that the iPad is used much more frequently per user for browsing, NetApplications concludes.

I contributed. If you put iPod/iPhone, iPad, MBP together on the table and ask me to choose which to browse the web, iPad wins. I’ve never heard more ooohs and aaahs than when people see how things work on the iPad the first time.
It’s magical!!!
I’ve used an iPad a few times and it’s probably the best browsing experience money can buy.

Why was the iPhone not included? What else is Android on other then phones? Why compare it to none phone devices? What was the point of the study?

When I have the time, I demo my iPad for interested people at the local coffee shop. I spent about 2 hours doing that at Starbucks yesterday. I have yet to get a negative reaction, aside from the normal – wish I could afford one.
The browsing experience is just one of the net applications that is “magical” to people who see an iPad the first time. Location services in all kinds of apps is a huge hit.
