Barack Obama | Organizing for America and The Democratic Party (Democratic National Committee) today announced the following, verbatim:

Organizing for America has an ambitious plan to reach out to voters this election season and—through the Vote 2010 campaign—reconnect with the millions of people who were inspired to participate in the political process for the first time in 2008.

OFA is building on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering communities across the country to get involved in the issues they care most about, and fight for candidates who will stand with the President.

  1. I find it a little distasteful / disturbing that Apple seems to have no problem approving political candidate endorsement apps, yet rejects apps that are inherently critical of politicians.

  2. @Mac4lfe

See the Problem with your type is what America is striving to rid itself of, You are so full of yourself and hate you can’t see past what is considered truth, and the to add to the mix you need to belittle anything your small one sided mind cant seem to understand nor want to.

Keep your hate to yourself & get facts then running on pure nonsense, Do your own research then believing the Cable networks garbage.

Problem is People like you are so lazy they refuse to “Recheck” What the Cable News Pendants report, Over 80% is Ratings Bait.

You are aware that Cable News Networks can lie, They are under “NO REGULATION” to tell the truth and can Spin anything anyway they like.

Knowledge is Power, But “FOOL’S” like you are the Demise of this Once great Country.

  3. Gwad, really? I mean……wtf. Failed to get the economy happening, continues to be clueless on the Oil Spill, and the wars we have happening. Spends most his time fundraising and golfing.

Job one for him should have been to get the economy working, not by hiking taxes on people who make the jobs.

Anyone who is already in there I’m voting out, regardless of party.

  4. sometimes I think the large majority of MDN posters are neo-con (read:idiots) in that they hate all the same things: peace, love, women, gays, minorities, education, arts, reading, empathy, open minds, beauty, intelligence, grace, true freedom and love; hate, narrow-minded hicks, racism, ugliness, being fat and stupid, gas guzzling hummers, rudeness, being annoying, talking points, killing people, fox news, bud light lime, cowboy hats, war, big pharma and industrial farming…

wow, sometimes I think being a fat ugly neo-con war criminal Repub. would be so much easier! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

  5. 1. Environmentally devastating oil spill
    2. War continues in Iraq
    3. War continues and gets worse in Afghanistan
    4. Economy is still in the dumper – except for Apple
    5. Social Security and Medicare near bankruptcy
    6. Democrats (themselves) say they won’t pass a meaningful budget this year.
    7. Democrats manage to nominate a fellon down in the Carolinas…

But yet, they have time to put out an Organizing for America App. Isn’t politics great in the good ol’ USA?

  6. What the ‘Tea Party’ movement needs is an App like this. It would be the ‘Common Sense’ pamphlet of the modern age. Thomas Paine focused a widespread, scattered movement into a revolution. The Tea Party simply needs a central focus point and it will bring this country back to greatness.

  7. I, for one, am happy to see MDN providing coverage of this. In all seriousness, I appreciate the effort of MDN is putting forth offering – pardon the phrase – more “fair and balanced” political coverage.

  8. This app is put forth by the Democratic National Committee, which means the information on it will be slanted toward the Democrat point of view.

Just like an app put forth by the Republican National Committee would slant toward Republican views.

Here’s an idea: why don’t all the name callers grow up and try something useful. Calling any politician names does nothing to them, and it certainly doesn’t get people on the other side of your beliefs to rush over an join you, or at least debate the issues.

When you resort to name-calling, you show your ignorance and inability to articulate a position.
