Apple: New iPhone 4 online pre-orders will ship July 14

Apple’s online store has moved expected ship dates for iPhone 4 pre-orders to July 14, 2010:

Orders completed yesterday still carry the expected shipping date of June 24 which means that 600,000 lucky souls will have iPhone 4 units for at least 20 days before anyone else who doesn’t stand in line outside Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Radio Shack stores. iPhone 4 will be available in the US, France, Germany, Japan and the UK on June 24. Happy camping and don’t forget to send us the photos!

If you were one of the 600,000 who got through yesterday, congrats! We’re already counting down the days until next Thursday’s FedEx delivery!

  1. I’m thanking my lucky stars I gave it another shot yesterday afternoon before I left the office. By the time I got home, shipping was out to July 2nd.

The only bummer is that they will only ship to my ATT billing address, which is at home. Guess I’ll be telecommuting on the 24th ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  2. What’s another three weeks for a new phone?

I’m still ticked off that it takes 9 months Nine Months!!! to make a baby. I mean, come on. My wife and I completed our order in late Nov. and we were told we’d have to wait until the following July to get our baby. Who thought that was a good idea?!?! Okay, sure, he came six weeks early (I think we got moved up on the list), but then we had to stay at the delivery depot an extra eleven days! Ridiculous. To add insult to injury, we had to go out and buy our own packing material so “They” could inspect it to make sure he wouldn’t be damaged in transit and “allow” us to transport him home. And don’t even get me started on the lack of warranty…

  3. OK so I finally was able to get through the ATT website yesterday after 50 tries and got an order completed page for my iPhone 4 yesterday. But if I check on the order status at the ATT website with my order number, I get an error saying that they can’t find it. Anyone/everyone else with this problem?
