invisibleSHIELD case for iPad“There is one clear star emerging at this year’s D: All Things Digital conference: Apple’s iPad,” Ina Fried reports for CNET.

“In addition to all the stage time that the tablet got during Steve Jobs’ talk last night, it is also dominating the discussion with other presenters,” Fried reports. “Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg sang Jobs’ praises for several minutes, before declaring: ‘His greatest accomplishment is going to be this tablet.'”

  1. Anyone else see that video clip of Ina Fried at the D8 conference? I’m quite open-minded but have to say that he/she started to speak, I was taken aback as to what to think. Hope his/her lifestyle treats him/her well. Really.

  2. Ok- Now that we discussed Ina’s sex change operation gone wrong… Isn’t the iPad a marvelous device.

I absolutely love it- my 3 year old granddaughter knows how to turn it on, unlock it, navigate to her coloring book app and run the app. Inside the app; she knows how to change colors, change the picture, lock and unlock the landscape/portrait orientation- she’ll actually turn 3 next July. She also knows how to open up the photo app and browse all the pictures- including pinching to zoom. When she gets “lost or confused”- I taught her that the home button is the “start all over” button. Amazing to watch.

    Enjoy everybody.

  3. After watching the video, all I can say is man you guys are cold. I’m sure Ina is a great person and don’t understand why the interview sparked such a reaction here. Who knows what kind of personal pain she’s dealt with over this matter.

Just goes to show that, for all the talk about the inequalities faced by gays and lesbians, transgendered individuals have a longgggg mountain to climb before society begins to accept and understand them. They’re truly at the bottom rung.

  4. If you’re going to get a sex change and you can afford it, do it. If you want Universal Health Care to pay for it, fuck off.

As an aside, if you are a boy becoming a girl, do the guys in your life a favor, have an extra boob installed in the middle of your back. It will be inconvenient but you will be a hell of a lot more fun to dance with.
