invisibleSHIELD case for iPad“A Taiwan newspaper is reporting that Apple has awarded a contract for building a CDMA iPhone to Pegatron Technologies,” Prince McLean reports for AppleInsider.

  1. @ ee

Actually, for comparison, China Mobile uses TD-SCDMA, Verizon and Sprint use CDMA2000, while most other carriers around the world, including AT&T;, use GSM (TDMA) for 2G, and UMTS (W-CDMA) for 3G.

  2. Haven’t we read this for the past 2 & 1/2 years. I am tired of the verizon rumors. It’s the child in the room that gets everything, and the one toy it doesn’t get it whines and cries till it turns red(no pun intended). I hope apple doesn’t give it to them and make them suffer even more. If this iPhone upgrade is truly an A+ upgrade that Steve promises, then Verizon will just lose more playing the waiting game and tired of “ok” android.

  3. This is good news. The only limiting factor for the iPhone is the one carrier problem. They are going to lose out on sales to Anderoid, Win7 and Rimm, not because of product quality, but because of distribution. That is a very bad reason to lose sales, but when they open it up to all major carriers, the sales and market share gains will be astronomic. Do it already!!!

  4. Pegatron is a winged horse that has the sperm of Karl Rove.
The intended victims are all lesbian softball players. This was funded by idiot sans savant Paul Jensen.

  5. I know, if everyone keeps saying over and over that an iPhone is going to Verizon, it will be true.

    Nope, keep click those heels Dorothy ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
