invisibleSHIELD case for iPad“Unconfirmed rumors that Lady GaGa will be Apple’s next spokesperson are the buzz on the Internet. Of course, word of the 23-year-old star appearing in commercials for the new Apple iPhone 4G have either a love or hate effect on people,” Cheryl Phillips reports for The Examiner.

MacDailyNews Take: We tried to post this with straight faces, but we failed. This is a RUMOR and one we wouldn’t put too much stock in.

[Thanks to MacDailyNews Readers too numerous to mention individually for the heads up.]

  1. U2 (palm) traitors put an end to celebrity spokespeople.

Apple is the brand, the product is the star and it is its own celebrity spokesman.

Lady Gaga could use the next iPhone, if she’s lucky, in a post-Apple announcement appearance or video, but that’s the most I’d expect.

P.s. She’s so ugly. Face. Ugly. Yes, I’m superficial. I like pretty things. shebeuglyy

  2. Let’s see…

    iPhone Porn = NO

iPhone Suggestive Dancer wearing Limited Clothing spokesperson = OKAY!

At least she will have PC and Mac guy frying their circuit boards and saying…

Oh, oh, Oh, oh, Ah, ah, Ah, ah, Oh, oh, Oh, Ah, ah, Ah, ah…

  3. The original article has several simple facts wrong. Gaga is not 23 years old; she is 24. Also, her tour is sponsored by Virgin Mobile, so I don’t see how she can endorse two different mobile phones at once.
