  1. ajdowntown: So, if I lived on the spanish border, I’d save 20 euros and buy from Spain. Anyone know why there would be the 20 euro difference?

VAT, warranty and other regulations differ between countries.

  2. @ A. Turing.
Buy elsewhere – post election VAT will rise and make it even more expensive! Petrol/diesel is closing in on £6.00 a gallon!!!!

  3. $499 in the US?
    £429 in the UK?

Here’s my advice. At all major UK airports you can buy electronic goods without having to pay VAT. You can already get MacBooks with quite a saving so I’m gonna wait till I go on holiday in June (to Vegas funnily enough) and buy a decently priced iPad at the airport.

Or should I just buy it at the Apple store in Vegas guys?

  4. I bought the 64 GB WiFi version on launch day. Then I really wanted the 64 GB 3G version. Just eBayed my WiFi version to a Brit for $100 over my purchase price here in the US. I might quit my day job.
