  1. iPad, meet your Netbook go-to-meetin’ clothes. Or perhaps it is your clandestine spy clothes. Or your let’s-not-make-that-other-guy-too-jealous clothes. Or, for the old fuddy duddies, a way to transition from known laptop-like experience to iPad bliss.

  2. I do recall that old post about an Apple display with a slot in the side. Perhaps Apple will do that for iPad as well (I know, not original, it has been suggested before). Of course, I would love to see that amped up, and see who can come up with the best laptop-like enclosure for the iPad.

  3. Ouch! Those net books don’t have a chance!

(Does Steve know that someone did this?)

Just kidding. Apple has a patent that shows a pad sliding out of a iMac like stand. So, he should not mind it being done. Could be a conflict with Apple patent though.

  4. I personally really enjoy getting used to the touch keyboard.
I’ve found using the case to prop it up slightly in landscape mode and placed on a table very comfortable to type, better than having it on your lap.

Think of it – it’s nearly 20 years since we saw this technology style on Star Trek Next Gen – and we’re just getting it into the mass populace. Sometime I think our societal progress is really slow.

  5. Eureka! Scientists just discovered why people use Windows and shun cool, Apple technology. It’s also why people are not libertarian. Apparently, they are using the one to four percent of their DNA that comes from Neanderthals.

I think it is used when people get nasty when commenting to MDN too.

  6. I strongly dislike this CalmCase.

The ClamCase takes away the differentiating factors
    of the iPad from NetBooks:

    – usability – before my iPad was a joy to hold in any postion
    – accessibility – now I got to flip open my iPad to get to use it
    – simplicity – how complicated my iPad looks now its a Netbook
    – visibility – no ones going to know I got and iPad

If Apple thought this was a good idea they would have made it like that.
