Lufthansa has posted an open letter to Apple’s Gray Powell via Twitpic:

MacDailyNews Take: If this is real, Nicola Lange deserves a raise.

  1. That is a classy move Lufthansa, a totally support that. Incidentally, my trip to Europe this summer I just booked on Lufthansa, and am now proud of that… Now, if we could only convince airlines to put an iPhone/iPad charger in each seat, life would be great ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

  2. This is yet one more reason why Gizmodo should be considered the absolute scum of the earth, for needlessly outing Mr. Powell and trampling all over his privacy in their handling of Apple’s stolen property.

  3. Yes, It’s a brilliant marketing move for Lufthansa
    Yes, Gizmodo is scum
Yes, This was an advanced prototype but not the final product

Yes, It will only work to help Apple who will undoubtedly make a joke out of this at the rollout if they are smart bringing Powell out with a phone actually attached to his wrist with an “iChain”

  4. I’m sure Apple gas rules against takeing such gifts and the fact he has to accept via Twitter would mean unless he is recently out of work there is no way he can take them up on this offer.

  5. Can you picture Powell asking his supervisor for some vacation time?

“Umm, I’d just like to thank you guys in management again for not giving me the axe . . . Quick question . . . . Do you mind if I take the next few days off . . . There’s this great place overseas that serves top notch German beer, and, well, it seems they’d like to fly me over there . . . . you know, because of the incident.”

(Apple’s answer, which I’ll just let you imagine for yourself)

“Yes, I understand. I’ll just get back to work then.”
