“Norway’s Prime Minister is currently ‘managing the country’ from New York via his new Apple iPad,” Sindre Lia reports for InfoSync World. “That’s quite a productivity commercial for the iPad.”
“The volcanic eruption in Iceland has lead to cancelled flights to and from Northern Europe today,” Lia reports. “According to Norwegian newspapers VG and Dagbladet, Norway’s Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, is one of many who are affected.”
Lia reports, “A photo taken by the Prime Minister’s office, shows how Jens Stoltenberg currently ‘manages the country’ from New York via his new iPad. That’s quite a productivity commercial for the iPad.”

Bill Gates, eat your heart out!
We have a Norwegian colleague who can come across as quite arrogant from time to time. But I think, after today, I’ll overlook many of his less than pleasant traits. I’ll even download Opera just for the heck of it to show support. I would have voted if I could for their prime minister to stay in office for at least another term just for sporting better taste,
Yes but will he be able to take it back with him, you know with that high powered US WiFi installed.
I wonder if the Norwegian Ombudsman is impressed yet.
Unfortunately I suspect that most British politicians have never heard of it, they are only just updating to Vista and probably probably drooling over their new walkmans.
“This is a great thread, full of good comedy, but a little redundant” Christina Wiley reports for ChrissyOne news. “It’s a redundant thread, but it’s still great and full of good comedy.”
Hopefully Steve will send an iPad to every Senator and Congressman. Even those idiots could use an iPad. Wouldn’t hurt to get them into state houses as well.
There are some things money can’t buy. For everything else, there’s Apple’s iPad! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
Did MDN delete my first post? What, no sense of humor?? Come on MDN – we’re just having a litte fun!!
He is just playing a game.
He’s checking with his telecom regulator and customs agents to make sure the iPad won’t be confiscated when he arrives in Oslo. Doesn’t he know you really shouldn’t allow evil, overpowered American WiFi into the country?
I guess he won’t be going to Israel.
Fail Israel.
He’s probably pining for the fiords…
Hmmm, think I might try and ‘manage’ my ex that way.
A bit easier than doing it in person, that’s for sure!
” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
yeah, are you sure he wasn’t playing Civ?
Maybe not, I’d have to buy her one too…
… and she’s not a techie either.
;(
Managing a nation.
There is an App for that.
Of course he can go to Israel, he’ll just stick the iPad in the diplomatic pouch!
Fighting fire with fire doesn’t get Israel in too much trouble but banning iPads, thats a different story.
They’ve got to face the wrath of Apple product users now.
@ Raymond Luxury-Yacht,
Norwegian fiords are already pined, not to mention spruced and birched.
@krquet
You can even download Opera for the iPhone.

What! You forgot my laptop?!?!?
Well, we are just gona to have to go back and . . .
What, a volcano?!?!?
Aw man, this just isn’t my da . . . what, you have an iPad?
I’m good.
This certainly speaks for the iPad’s afjordability.
Do NOT give an iPad to every Senator and Congressman. Can you imagine what would happen if they go too much more work done. Since we don’t know if they’re on our side, I want them to be as ineffective as possible.
@spyinthesky, The British and the US politician’s are still downloading Vista+ (aka Windows 7). Hopefully the iPad will be a 10e6 candle in the dark.
