“Although Mac clone maker Psystar has turned off the lights at its Web site, the firm is not shutting down permanently, the company’s lawyer said [late Friday],” Gregg Keizer reports for Computerworld.
“Contrary to a report on Thursday by the Dow Jones Newswire, Psystar is not shutting down for good, said K.A.D. Camara, of the Houston, Texas firm Camara & Sibley LLP,” Keizer reports
“Camara did not elaborate on what form Psystar would take in the future, or when it might return to the Web,” Keizer reports.

MacDailyNews Note: Psystar’s web site is back online, but no longer features desktops or servers, just the “Rebel EFI” product (For $0.00, currently “out of stock” and a US$15 t-shirt with the Psystar logo.

I wonder if that will make a good collectors item in 20 years?
If they ever pay Apple’s damages, they won’t have enough pocket change for bandwidth.
Bloody cockroaches, eh?
So that explains it – the Mac clone business was just a front for a more profitable tee shirt business.
Lot’s of non-profits sell T-shirts as fund raisers. That now includes Psystar.
@ BlackWolf
Along with your t-shirt from the meteoric, but now defunct VA Linux!
Ah ha, I was right. They are moving to Cuba and re-opening.
Rebel EFI. Huh, so they’re selling cameras now.
Bloody cockroaches indeed. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”snake” style=”border:0;” />
Rebel EFI scum….The Empire will destroy you!
Maybe they can sell enough T-shirts to pay their legal fees. They can’t sell computers anymore.
They’ll have to sell a LOT of t-shirts to raise enough money to pay what they owe Apple…
I notice they haven’t removed the ‘Advanced Search’ from the bottom of the page…
‘Rebel EFI’ or ‘T-Shirt’…did I miss something?
T-shirts? So THAT’s how they are going to raise the money to come back.
That shirt would make a nice addition to me collection, right next to my Billy Beer t-shirt.
They should make a T-shirt that says “I challenged Apple, and I failed”.
http://no-spamming/
No, it should say,
“I challenged Apple and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!”
Or they should say “I got stoned and I missed it”
or …
“This t-shirt is worth more than the computer I bought from Psystar.”
The “law firm” that represents Psystar won’t be able to afford the apartment that they work out of, if they keep this up. Unless this whole thing is being funded by an unnamed deep-pocketed third party (as many suspect), Psystar’s lawyers have probably made zero dollars off of this case.
T-shirts… That is hilarious.
With a tip of the hat to “Julian”
“They should make a T-shirt that says . . .”
My parents went to Psystar and all I got was this stupid t-shirt
Psystar – We innovate more that Ballmer
Psystar – When you want a computer that cost $3,515.62 each to make (before materials)
Psystar – Because my Dell t-shirt didn’t make me look stupid enough
. . . your turn
Pretty sure ‘Rebel EFI’ is covered by the injunction:
“Circumventing any technological measure that effectively controls access Mac OS X, including, but not limited to, the technological measure used by Apple to prevent unauthorized copying of Mac OS X on non-Apple computers.
Playing any part in a product intended to circumvent Apple’s methods for controlling Mac OS X, such as the methods used to prevent unauthorized copying of Mac OS X on non-Apple computers.”
so not sure how they can still be trying to sell it.
Psystar – Is stupid spelled backwards.
It would be funny if someone bought a Psystar T-shirt and walked around Macworld Expo sometime and video taped the reactions. Not sayin’ I’d do it or anything, just that it’d be funny. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

There were a lot of other T-shirts like ‘We may be corporate flunkies but Microsoft supports those wacky Psystar rebels’ and ‘Get a Dell ExPsystaron 2230 LTE 2.8g and get this T-shirt free’ but apparently they never came to light.
