Chamoff reports, “Nearby merchants viewed the frenzy Saturday morning with amusement. Though some Greenwich Avenue business owners worry that Apple, along with the new Ralph Lauren store further up the street, will create competition for parking, most look forward to the foot traffic.”

Obviously the lines of people were a result of the … free concert? Free Zunes? Free Line-Dancing show?
Hmmm, what tacky novelty did Apple contrive in order to bribe the Wal-Mart shoppers away from the aisle-long freezers full of yellow-box frozen dinners, to get them to appear at an Apple Store?

Cool, Right Off the Metro-North RR Station.
Too bad I don’t live in Connecticut anymore. I used to travel from Grand Central Station in NYC to Belin, CT almost every Friday & Saturday. I once had an iPod Nano Go on the Fritz on my way. Would’ve been convenient if that store would’ve been open then. 5 minute walk.
Better than going over 30 miles Round-trip from home to Apple Store West Farms in Farmington, CT. Damn.!!!
