Beleaguered Palm has released WebOS 1.3.1 which weighs in at 126MB.
Brennon Slattery reports for PC World, “If you were waiting for the resurrection of the Palm iTunes sync, you’re out of luck: WebOS 1.3.1 does no such thing. Perhaps Palm decided to blink in the back-and-forth with Apple.”

MacDailyNews Note: This is the second time a Palm WebOS update has failed to reactivate iTunes mooching, so the masochistic leeches may yet still return for more Apple smackdowns.
Too little, too late
I’d have to agree with you breeze. The process is so simple. All Palm has to do is innovate. For Christ’s sake, they are former Apple employees. Did they, all of a sudden, forget their roots?
…I take it back. Their actions speak louder than their words.
I don’t understand why Palm doesn’t simply say, “iTunes syncing available with 3rd party software purchase”, and then simply link to The Missing Sync for Palm Pre (or some other piece of software that does the same trick).

“they are former Apple employees. Did they, all of a sudden, forget their roots?”
Could be why they are “former” Apple employees.
@MacBill
Or Palm could simply use iTunes existing plug-in framework and legally and reliably sync with iTunes like they could have done from the start. But that wouldn’t get free press now would it?
Yup all these guys are obsessed with beating Apple. Why don’t they just focus on getting their stuff to work. Can’t beat a juggernaut with hyperbole.
@MacBill
Or buy a bulk license for missing sync at a steep discount so that their customers don’t have to shell out the cash themselves.
maybe they have common roots with Pystar: somewhere between mud and slime
Maybe Palm is planning on writing their own iTunes syncing software, like RIM did?
HAHAHA, I kill myself. Naw, they just probably haven’t figured out how to get around Apple’s latest iTunes patch.

Pre owners should sue. iTunes syncing was an advertised feature.

I’m sure it will happen…
