The Boy Genius Report has what’s claimed to be an Apple email graphic detailing 2009’s Black Friday (Nov. 27th) deals. According to the report, Apple will be emailing the info to customers shortly.
According to the email graphic, Apple will be offering the following Black Friday deals:
• Up to 30% off on all iPods (except iPhone and iPod shuffle)
• Up to 25% off all Macs
• Up to 15% off all accessories, Apple software and hardware.
If true, the deals are applicable on Friday, November 27th only. Select Apple retail stores will open at 6am on that day.

This Will open the floodgates for an unprecedented Xmas retail lesson
Obviously, it’s a fake!!!
This stuff was spread around last year. Apple sales are strong they are not going to shoot themselves in the foot with this pricing.
NO WAY this is real (although I secretly wish it is!)
Don’t even bother clicking the link. The graphic is puerile and not up to Apple’s standards. This is someones wishful thinking, thats all. Be patient… all will be revealed in time.
Apple sales are strong they are not going to shoot themselves in the foot with this pricing.
Apple usually discounts 5-10% on Black Friday. There is NO way this rumor is true.
BGR is looking for hits.
No effing way. Apple does not discount Macs 25%, and an iPod touch is not going to be 30% off.
ha if this was real their profit percentage would drop immensely with the amount of people flooding the apple stores. I’d even go buy something just because of a deal like that
man I wish, daddy needs a new core i7 iMac!
Even with Apple’s usual sale discounts – Mark this as the opening shot of a 2009 Xmas Retail Slaughterhouse lesson
Just ordered an i7 iMac, will gnash teeth if true.
The Store here is not carrying the i7. Have to BTO.
people please. there’s no way an ad this poorly designed would be from Apple. bad letter spacing, bad typogrophy (er… superscripted 6am) not to mention Apple doesn’t capitalize the S in shuffle.
25% off on Macs. Riiiiiiight.
You make discounts that big when you want to get rid of old stock which isn’t moving or when you really need the money. This isn’t the case with Apple and if they’re going to offer discounts that big then they would have to be confident of massive sales increases just to make the same money they normally would.
Why did MDN bother with this? That’s nowhere close to looking like something Apple would produce, and it’s too far outside the realm of what Apple does with their Black Friday specials to be taken seriously.
@$$$$
Looks like it was MDN who shot themselves in the foot by being duped into posting this obvious fake.
I thought MDN would know better than that.
25% off a 27″ Core i7 iMac? I’ll take two.
If this is true, I could see Apple selling a ton of machines.
As has been pointed out previously, Apple doesn’t spell “Shuffle” with a capital “S”.
It’s fake. There’s tons of design and typographical errors on the ad, and Apple would never misspell 6am by putting the AM as a superscript.
Daddy needs discount on accessories, if not just on the MBP (’08) batteries.
If Apple offers current production Macs for 25% off on Black Friday, I will birth a Monkey Man out of my ass live on Youtube.
Much though I’m as sceptical as everyone else about this, bear in mind it does say up to 25 or 30% off, implying that there would probably be very few circumstances where you’d actually get those percentages…
Can’t see this ever happening 🙁
