Is it possible for these driver updates to make the printers “snappier”?
First?
Maybe Apple fixed my Brother 8840D bonjour problem.
You just about have to buy a bigger hard drive before you can download the printer drivers. Sounds like the printer companies must be copying m$ notions of bigger is better when it comes to files size of applications and drivers.
No Epson listed. I am so disappointed with Epson. It started with the switch to OS X. My next printer/scanner will be an HP or Canon. Epson used to be very supportive of Apple, no so much anymore in my experiences.
Hopefully this update fixes a problem I’ve had with my Brother. He’s kinda lazy and owes me some money.
Crossing fingers that I get scanning back on my HP all in one…
Ah… according to the grid, NO. =(
BTW, the actual link looks like this, if anyone wanted to actually go download anything:

My job for the morning- seeing if this will get my Lexmark working again at last…
More scanner drivers please.
My Canon driver update was on 8.5 MB.
Dang sure didn’t fix the printing on Aperture. Still unusable and Apple(aka The Up and Coming Microsoft) doesn’t seem to be interested in fixing it. Been this way since August.
drivers shmivers… i want appletalk returned!
Thanks for the link C1.
I have never had to load a driver for my Epson all-in-ones after the first install. That’s from Tiger on, up until now.
Ok, for everyone complaining about the size of the drivers: THEY ARENT THAT BIG!!!! Just go tob update and you will see the driver on the list and it should be around 10 MB. Not 100 MB. These download links are for the packages that install the drivers for every one of their printers. Sheesh people…
HP still doesn’t have their Snow Leopard shit together. HP’s list of multipurpose printers that can only print is longer than my arm. My HP LJ 3015 is on the list for printing only.
Interestingly, at my office we have a big-ass Ricoh multi-purpose machine. Ricoh released its Snow Leopard drivers on August 27, 2009. In fact, when you go to Ricoh driver website, they have a specific icon for Snow Leopard drivers. I like that.
Three cheers for Ricoh and a kick in the ass to HP.
i have a c8180 , biggest pile of junk i’ve ever used
the loading tray is diabolical and feels like it’s made out of toilet paper
utter junk
oh it has lots of pretty pictures on the lcd screen though.. typical windoze crap
i had an epson for years before this pos
it was excellent
i’ll never buy another hp product ever again
@ChrissyOne
Use Preview for scanning.
I haven’t had any printer issues since moving to snow leopard, but I appreciate the updates.
Thank goodness! I can finally print to my Canon MP620 via WiFi. And the Software Update download was less than 10 M.
Sigh. As usual, nothing from Okidata….
Brother all the way.
