“We’ve heard now from two sources that AT&T, and we guess Apple, are contemplating launching an 8GB iPhone 3GS at the $99 price point before Christmas,” The Boy Genius Report dishes.

Full, but very brief, post here.

  1. @ Just Me

I had the 2G 8GB as well, but upgraded to the 3GS. You would not believe the speed difference. Yes, it’s an extra $10/mo, but when you can use 3G for Safari, Mail, Maps, etc., you can’t believe you lived with Edge as long as you did. It’s like moving from dialup to broadband, thanks to 3G and the much faster processor.

It also feels lighter, too. Don’t know that it is, but perception says it is.

  2. I’d be tempted to get one for my husband — he needs a new phone & he might like the iPhone…and it’s cheap enough that if he doesn’t, I’ll convert it to my use (currently have 2Gen 3G) and talk him into an iPod touch for my video and audio. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
