  1. Well, tomorrow is the big grand opening of Microsoft’s first retail store in Scottsdale, AZ. What a perfect time to introduce new iMacs and Mac minis!

The only problem with the theory is that Apple likes to introduce new products on Tuesdays.

  2. I thought it was going to be last week, but I will reset to this week, by Thursday, between the earnings call and the latest version of Windows FAIL, erm I mean Windows 7.

  3. @hot

who cares. I don’t see a problem. How ever they want to characterize the release, Apple is on a roll and microsoft will do anything to hang on to Apples coat tails.

I will be buying a new iMac this week. I just hope I’ve had time to play with it some before heading over to m$’s grand opening. Naturally, I’ll be bragging about the screen and quad-core mobo.

  4. Dylan sings one for windows 7:

    Clouds so swift
    Rain won’t lift
    Gate won’t close
    Railings froze
    Get your mind off wintertime
    You ain’t goin’ nowhere
    Whoo-ee! Ride me high
    Tomorrow’s the day
    My bride’s gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
    Down in the easy chair!

    I don’t care
    How many letters they sent
    Morning came and morning went
    Pick up your money
    And pack up your tent
    You ain’t goin’ nowhere
    Whoo-ee! Ride me high
    Tomorrow’s the day
    My bride’s gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
    Down in the easy chair!

  5. I doubt these new “coming any day now for the last month” models, whenever they are actually released, will be too different from the current models. Probably just a speed (and maybe storage size) bump.

The next significantly different new models, at least for the iMac, will likely happen about March or April 2010.

And with a speed increase as appropriate, there is nothing wrong with the current Mac mini, especially with the dual video output ports (I hope that feature stays); it serves its purpose very well.
