Whew….I sure hope this cures my freezing/locking up issue causing me to restart once or twice a day!

Fixes:
Wow, I haven’t had any of the issues listed in the screenshot iPhoner posted, nor have I had any freezing or locking up like virtualscott. I haven’t restarted my 3Gs in several weeks, in fact. Hmm…
I’ve had each and every one of those problems occur. Minor annoyances on the best device I’ve ever bought, but I’m glad they’ll be gone.
But does it fix my battery issues?!?!?!?!?
Apparently no one thinks it’s snappier….
Those issues were only on iPhone 3G after updating to 3.1. I use original iPhone and it was fine but my wife had to restart her iPhone 3G every day.
yes, but does it kick Pre to the curb again?
Yeah it makes my 1st Gen iPhone feel like the 3G-S….. Okay, not really 🙁 but I still like it ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
ecrabb, ditto. Ron.
@dance dance Monkeyboy this is an iPhone update not iTunes.
Wow. I was JUST about to take my 3G in because it will randomly not wake from sleep and when it does, finally, the network is lost. Seems to somehow be associated with the sound on/off switch? I hope this fixes it though because, just like virtualscott, I’m restarting twice a day.
You guys might want to trivialize these issues, but it is serious if you phone locks up while in the middle of attempting to use it in an emergency situation, or while conducting critical business deals. I hope Apple solved these issues that where not supposed to be there in the first place.
Did anyone notice the new Carrier File? 5.6 try clicking update again after the 3.1.2
Mac-nugget. Where did you learn logic? Elementary school? What percentage do you think have this problem? 1%? 2? Go watch your cartoons and leave us alone.
The OS that should have been released just months ago is now available. Gee, thanks, Apple, for fixing the problems endemic in version 10.6.1. And thanks to the Apple fabois who diehard commitment to being lab rats has made 10.6.2 the OS it was intended to be.
I’ll give the update a try. Just starting last week, my iPhone 3G battery dies after just 8 hours of light use. Use to last all day.
I’ll update, even though I’ve suffered none of the complaints I’ve read about.
I can’t even remember the last time I restarted my iPhone, but I believe it was for the last update!
The low end 24-inch : 2.66GHz iMac has: “Ships: 1-3 business days”
I wish the updated machines would come out. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
You guys actually restart your iPhones?
I’d just like to know why my iphone keeps updating the same 13 files over and over again every time I plug it in to the iMac.
247 megs!!! for a simple update?
The only issue I’ve had since the last update was the phone lagging…I just beat the crap out of it and it seems to get the point.
Hope this update solves that annoying trait
@Hee, hee troll…
Derrrrrrr…. this is about the iPhone OS numnuts…. not the MacOS….
windows trolls… stupid enough in the first place to purchase windows, stupid enough to post nonsense on a Mac site.
