Apple releases Xsan 2.2 updates; adds 64-bit support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Xsan 2.2Apple today released the following Xsan updates, one of which includes 64-bit support on Snow Leopard versions of Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server:

  1. Umm… does the dearth of commentary on this thread mean that Xsan is pretty much a non-factor in the Mac Universe? I was hoping to learn some cool stuff about Apple’s server offerings and found just good ol’ Sir Gill (where ya’ been, man?) the lone voice in the wilderness.

    I’m confused as to what Apple is offering these days, server-wise. Didn’t they discontinue their servers but continue making server software? What servers would this run on? Enlightenment please?
