New Parental Controls in iPhone 3.0 have allowed Apple’s App Store to add apps that, for the first time, feature nude and/or explicit content for iPhone and iPod touch. iPhone OS 3.0 for iPhone and iPod touch allows parents to decide what kids can and can’t access on iPhone. Parents can set restrictions for Safari, YouTube, iTunes, the App Store, Camera, and location services.
Developer Allen Leung’s “Hottest Girls” (US$1.99) app is “rated 17+ for frequent/intense sexual content or nudity, frequent/intense mature/suggestive themes.” “Hottest Girls” is currently #2 on the paid apps list in the iTunes App Store’s “Lifestyle” section and #60 on the overall paid apps list.
Users must be at least 17 years old to download the app.
Hottest Girls allows users to browse through thousands of images. Users buy the app once, but the app downloads fresh images for free.
The iTunes App Store’s “Hottest Girls” Application Description:
Save any of your favorite images into your photos library. Then, you can set it as your wallpaper, send it to your friends, upload it to your computer, or set it as a phone contact’s image.
You can even give feedback for the images that you like, and we’ll know to include more pictures of that girl in the next set of updates.
