“An Apple app developer believes that the future of the Apple TV lies in video gaming built on the success of the iPhone and iPod touch,” Nick Spence reports for Macworld UK.
“Appy Entertainment co-founder and brand director Paul O’Connor told PocketGamer.biz he expects Apple to make a move on the living room after successfully entering the mobile gaming market,” Spence reports.
Spence reports, “‘Pretty clearly this market is wide-open, rich with possibilities. Large publishers and outside money is starting to take notice,’ said O’Connor. ‘The user base is growing like crazy and I believe Apple has some game-changing surprises in store, for example, I fully expect them to make a flank march on the living room with game content via a repositioned Apple TV sometime in the next year or two.'”
