“The French mobile carrier and Internet provider [Orange] just released an application allowing iPhone users to watch TV,” Alexandros Roussos reports for SIliconRumors.

“The application called ‘TV d’Orange’ is available on the [French] App store since today and provides access to up to 60 channels through the iPhone,” Roussos reports.

“The service is compatible with 3G and EDGE connectivity but does not support Wifi,” Roussos reports.

“Channels include TF1, France 2, France 3, France 5, M6 and Arte among many others,” Roussos reports. “The first 20 channels are free with most of the iPhone plans however the 40 other channels are part of special subscriptions.”
