Apple sneaking into the enterprise with their iPhone trojan horse?

“Even if Apple doesn’t seem too interested in the corporate market, some commentators believe the industry is at a tipping point, and Apple is slowly creeping in to the world of business,” Brendon Chase reports for Technology & Business.

“With almost 10 percent of the market for computers on the Web and the massive uptake of the corporate-friendly iPhone, the need for multi-platform support in corporate IT environments is a boon for Apple,” Chase reports.

“Robin Simpson, an analyst from research firm Gartner, thinks the popularity of Apple computers and phones at home is coming in to work through the back door, not the IT department, and influencing employee’s technology choices,” Chase reports.

“Simpson sees Apple’s iPhone as being the real Trojan horse for Apple in the corporate world,” Chase reports.
