AT&T’s 3G MicroCell device release imminent?

MacDailyNews reader Don T. reports, “I read about the upcoming AT&T MicroCell on your site last month and have been checking the AT&T site everyday because I really need this device. It was always under construction – until today – now when you go to the link below, you are prompted for a user name and password. Pending release? I surely hope so.”

As Prince McLean reported for AppleInsider last month, “iPhone 3G users stuck in an AT&T dead zone at home or at work will soon be able to plug in a device that provides a strong local signal for up to 10 phones and four simultaneous voice or data connections via a connection to broadband Internet. Price and availability haven’t yet been set for the appliance, which AT&T calls the 3G MicroCell.” More info here.
