“Amid a flurry of (disputed) reports and rumors about Apple chief executive Steve Jobs’ ‘rapidly declining health,’ blogger Robert Scoble did some field work to dig for the truth today,” MG Siegler reports for VentureBeat.
“Well okay, he was in a yogurt shop with his friend, Socialtext cofounder Ross Mayfield, when Mayfield mentioned he had seen Jobs there in the past. So Scoble decided to ask the person working behind the counter if they’d seen Jobs recently. And guess what? They had,” Siegler reports.
“‘I’m in Palo Alto. Just had yogurt at shop that Steve Jobs eats at frequently. They said he was in a couple of days ago and is in great health,’ Scoble posted on the social aggregation service FriendFeed,” Siegler reports. “Apparently, the yogurt store in question, Fraiche Yogurt, delivers yogurt to Apple executives every week, Scoble wrote in a comment. A separate blog, Swanktastic, confirms that Jobs (and other big names in tech) have been seen at the shop in recent months.”

MacDailyNews Take: This is what it’s come to, folks. Meanwhile, SEC Chairman Christopher Cox, a man who can perform a miracle (make Steve Ballmer look like a competent manager), replied, “Oh, forget it. It’s just too hard to tell!” when asked to decipher his ass from his elbow.
WaWa is a town in northern Ontario Canada. Famous for a giant goose (Canada Goose) sculpture.
Does anybody know if Fraiche Yogurt sells non-dairy yogurt? Or can we take this as confirmation that Steve Jobs eats dairy?
@cptnkirk:
Wawa is also a chain of convenience stores popular in the mid Atlantic — named for the same goose, which is used in the store logo.
Steve is a strict Vegan
“Veganism is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind”
Maybe Steve had the soy
I read through Fraiche Yogurt’s website and they don’t appear to have any soy or other vegan yogurts. They make their own plain yogurt from cow’s milk and then everything else is an additive or topping.
I’m a vegan myself and would *like* for Steve to be one.
> Steve Jobs needs to set the record straight to shut everyone up. These rumors are bad for Apple…
Nope… The media is doing exactly what Steve Jobs and Apple want. Providing free coverage, and creating a high level of curiosity in the general public, leading up to Macworld. Who would tune in to listen to Phil Schiller if there wasn’t this mystery and suspense regarding Steve Jobs?
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m more interested in this year’s Macworld keynote now than in previous years when Steve Jobs was doing the presentation. Mission accomplished, Apple!
Cox is using his ass cheeks as ear muffs, and his elbow can be found in the eye of all average stock holders everywhere as he shoves them aside to make way for Daddy Warbucks.

> Steve is a strict Vegan
Perhaps he WAS one, but not anymore.
> Steve is a strict Vegan.
I’m pretty sure that I read that he’s at least a pescatarian. I.e., he’ll eat fish.
Jeez, come on — yogurt! What’s more hippy than yogurt? I can totally imagine Jobs eating yogurt.

“Fraiche Yogurt”? What the hell is that?
Here in Redmond we tantalize our taste buds at Douche Sherbet.
Mmmmm, nummy.
The only options are for either Steve Jobs to put weight on, or resign as CEO.
These rumors will continue, even after Steve Jobs says he is in good health, which will continue to hurt Apple and its shares.
News about his health will continue, so something needs to be done to stop it, and the only thing will be for him to go or put weight on.
@Steve is a “strict” vegan
I don’t know how strict he is. I KNOW I heard him say in some keynote that he loves sushi. My guess is he sticks to a somewhat vegan diet but includes fish and possibly dairy.
I don’t think Steve is under any obligation to cow tow to the FUD spreaders out there. Steven has shown time and again that he lives by his own rules. So what if the stock is taking a temporary dive. Steve and Apple’s bored know it’s just a bunch of FUD. It doesn’t effect them. They know it will all be resolved in it’s own time. Until then they can keep doing their work and keep getting paid. How is this something they should care about? How does going to extra work to clear up other people’s misconception help them in anyway?
