These ads make Alltel look sophomoric.
i think they are cute lol
These ads are 1) a little late in the season, and 2) not their best work.
Better lines for the second one:
“I’m animated now so I can do anything.”
“That’s cool PC! Does that mean you can fix Vista?”
“That’s crazy talk. I may be animated but I’m not Steve Jobs.”
The bunny one is pretty amusing.
The “PC RULES” one is a little lame. The “bunny one” is very good, though!
@ Jump:
Great minds think alike, that was the same punch line I thought of when the ad started to play:
“That’s cool PC! Does that mean you can fix Vista?”
Probably to harsh for the Holiday message, however true it may be.
Or perhaps “That’s crazy talk. The next release will fix things… Maybe” with “Mac” grimacing skeptically.
I liked “I can do anything” more than “Tree trimming”. It might have been better had the “PC RULES” lights “broken” by, say, having the “PC” lights turn upside down, or – better – having one or more letters “crash”.
I have to say the PC rules one could almost have been made by Microsoft, its rather like the occasional Tom and Jerry cartoon where Jerry actually wins.
oops I mean where Tom actually wins. Sems like its catching.
Great ads. Most people will like the bunny one no matter whether they’re in one camp or the other.
haha! I enjoyed those, especially PC dumping snow on the bunny. “Oops, clumsy me.” *grin*
Amusing and understated. Perfect when compared to the competition…
Not everyone likes Christmas to start at Labour Day.
Their voices sound overprocessed. PC hardly sounds like John Hodgman.
We don’t get to see these ads on the TV here in Britain but the puzzling thing is that Microslop are showing their ‘I’m a PC’ ads which leaves people scratching their heads. Nobody realises what they’re supposed to be in response too especially when the opening line is “Hello, I’m a PC and I’ve been stereotyped.”
Another example of MS’s fine attention to detail I suppose.
@ Jump,
I’m impressed, that was funny.
