  1. Let’s go surfin’ now
    Everybody’s learning how
Come on a safari with me
(Come on a safari with 3.2.1)

    I added that last part myself ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  2. @ Ottawa Mark – pretty sure you are right, but we will likely never know what the problem was.

As for all the crashy comments …

I have used Safari since the 2.0 version and never had any great amount of crashes or freezes to mention. No where NEAR as many as FireFox, IE etc.

Sure everyone’s experience differs, but I get a bit miffed when a new release comes out and we are treated to all these “hope it doesn’t crash so much!” type of comments.

For the vast majority of users Safari is THE most stable, crash-free browser there ever was. No matter how many people whine about their particular problems.

  3. I just tried to open MDN with Safari 3.2 and it hung up. Meanwhile, I launched Webkit, and it loaded MDN extra snappily before Safari 3.2 finally choked.

    Now to update to 3.2.1…..

Apple says: This update includes stability improvements and is recommended for all Safari users.

Since I’m a Safari user, my stability was improved. I guess it’s because of the new “Stability Improvement Field” included in Safari 3.2.1.

  5. JAVA is broken on my iMac 2.4 when I use Safari as my browser, it works fine on Firefox and iCab. Safari has become progressively worse with each update so I switched to Firefox as my main browser a couple of months ago and don’t plan on going back.

  6. If I open a folder with multiple bookmarks, Safari crashes every time. This happened in the previous update and it happens consistently with 3.2.1
This is the first time I’ve ever had an Apple update that did not pass muster.
