  1. Translation:

Tony and Dani worked their arses off, delivered shareholder value, and were well compensated for their talents.

Fearing having their wealth “shared around” they have wisely cashed in before jack-booted Obama revenue agents redistribute their money to those are lifelong sucklers of the government teat.

    /end rant

  2. So it’s all good when the middle class gets the brunt of the load huh? Yet when anyone mentions that the wealthy have to put in their fair share of the load by saying goodbye to their tax breaks so they contribute the same as everyone else, people start bitching around. Who gives a crap about the wealthy having to give up a few more bucks, they have more than enough. No one gives a crap that the middle class who need the money more than the wealthy have to make a bigger sacrifice for the good of all. Where’s the fairness in that?

  3. Umm … rwr … do I really need to point out that it is the conservatives – the fascists, the dictators, the Religious Right – who are big on jack-boots? The limp-wristed liberals are better known for loafers, or even moccasins.
Additionally, income taxes are only paid on current income, not income in past years. Thus, previous years earnings are safe from taxation.
Still … it’s good you are getting your ignorant hate-mongering out of your system today – it won’t matter tomorrow. Should we enter this in iCal to be re-visited in a year or two? Or would that embarrass you and force you to invent new “atrocities” (also described in terms better suited to conservatives) that he is/will be up to?

  4. It’s disconcerting to see how many voices of anger and/or hate are coming out of the Right”, and how there are so many voices of hope coming out of the “Left.”

I would encourage those who feel deep anger about this election to go off and do some prolonged soul searching.

If you are an American, you should consider that a responsibility, as well as a privilege.

  5. “Yet when anyone mentions that the wealthy have to put in their fair share of the load by saying goodbye to their tax breaks so they contribute the same as everyone else, people start bitching around.”

    1. The governments role in a free society is not to take someone’s money and give it to someone else. That’s Socialism, which is similar to communism.

    2. Wealthy already pay more than their fair share, I’m sure you’d be happy for them to pay 90% of their income to the “government” who will happily “spread that wealth around” which I find both disturbing and sad.

    3. Besides being wrong headed and short sighted, sticking it to the rich is also disastrous to an economy because people who produce stop taking risks, people lose jobs, economies fall, tax revenues plummet as the rich find other ways to invest their money than wasting it in an economy that sees them as a big marked target and a sucker. There’s a reason why lowering taxes on “the rich” produces more tax revenue, the rich stop trying to hide and shelter all their money and they invest it into the economy.

Sad how people in this country are so horrendously ignorant about economics and tax policy, and see it as a way to stick it to the rich guy. That’s not what the purpose of taxes is supposed to be about.

  6. DLMeyer “conservatives – the fascists, the dictators, the Religious Right – who are big on jack-boots?”

People that feel the need to take money from one person and give it to another are fascists, and dictators. They represent the opposite of freedom and opportunity, and reward for excellence, ingenuity and hard work. Those are the principles this great country was founded on, not socialism. Dictators love spending other people’s money.

Anyone in government who wants to take money or freedom away from people is wearing jack-boots in my book. Democrats are worse than Republicans in a lot of areas here.

I’m not sure why you feel the need to beat up on the Religious Right tho, they make up a fairly large portion of this country, and I don’t see how they have wrecked it. Perhaps you could explain your hostility and bigotry towards them.

“Additionally, income taxes are only paid on current income, not income in past years.”

Don’t worry, Obama will find a way to take the money you made in past years from you too.

  7. So THAT’S their plan.

Secretly put a blade server inside every iPod.

Then, once the iPods make their way inside the door of corporate America through the consumer channel . . . BAM!

  8. Streamline to reduce government expenditures. An equitable distribution of taxation to match revenue to expenses. Regulation only where needed. Increasing focus on balance of energy sources with incentives to develop and expand alternative energy sources. Emphasis on maintaining and improving natural environment for future generations – forests, water, air.

This is practicality and realism, folks. It’s not liberal or conservative, right or left. Quit being extremist. Reason and compromise are the tools that we need to employ.

  9. @twilightmoon — 1) hey people are already paying taxes and that’s a fact of life. If you want to call our current government a socialistic system, that’s your call buddy. In fact, what you are talking about as an alternative is a system where the wealthy pay less and the middle class pays more and could be called feudalism. The rich in power make the poor pay more and more taxes. 2) Who said anything about wealthy paying 90%, oh yeah, that’s you. I said they don’t need freakin tax breaks while the middle class keeps getting tax increases. 3) Oh the poor rich people, yeah i guess someone needs to look out for them cause otherwise they won’t have anything to use to take expensive trips and whatnot while the beloved economy is sinking down the tubes, not because they have to pay more taxes, but because they made stupid investments and now need the taxes off the backs of the poor to bail them out…

… “They represent the opposite of freedom and opportunity, and reward for excellence, ingenuity and hard work. Those are the principles this great country was founded on, not socialism. Dictators love spending other people’s money.” …

It would seem that you are too stupid to understand and comprehend the concepts Freedom, Principles, Socialism and Dictators.

Could you please supply a recent photograph of yourself – so that it can be displayed in dictionaries and other reference books …
