“The Recording Industry Association of America and Motion Picture Association of America backed the bill, as did the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,” Bartz reports.

People like Ron pop off about “socialism” because it’s what the talking heads like Limbaugh and Hannity tell them to be afraid of. They don’t know what it is, or what it means, but since Rush says it’s scary then everyone had better be afraid of it. I still don’t understand why people think it’s okay to steal when it comes to music and software. Do those same people believe it is okay to steal from a store? I can’t think of any good reason to pirate software.
Almost every piece of software has a free trial download available. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. If you want or need it, but it’s too expensive, then don’t buy it, but don’t steal it either.
