Apple has released Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station (802.11n) Firmware 7.3.2 update which includes general fixes and compatibility updates.
Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station (802.11n) Firmware 7.3.2 is available via Software Update and also as a standalone installer.
More info and download link (4MB) here.
Yay for the update! I now can leave the Time Capsule on N + B&G;compatibility, and have the Xbox 360 work wirelessly!!!…Yay!!!!!
I don’t see a standalone installer. I can’t seem to update it otherwise.
Just installed the updater. Everything was fine, now having network problems with Airport base station. Using neighbor’s wifi connection to hunt Apple support for answers. Arrghh! I hate IT duty first thing in the morning.
Why hast thou forsaken me o Airport?
Hmmmm. It’s not showing up in Software Update for me…
Have 3 base stations on my extended network. Updater recognized all three and updated them all with no problems.
zippier
is it also snappier?
@Harvey.
First make sure that the Airport Utility Program is updated to the most recent version first by doing Software Update. Once that’s done, then open Airport Utility and select your base station. The update should show in the window.

Hope this helps.
@Macintosh
Apple should have made it clear. The update doesn’t show up in Software Update. Instead, the update shows up in the Airport Utility.
After making sure that your Airport Utility is updated to the most recent version by running Software Update, open the Airport Utility application. You’ll then be able to update to the newest Firmware.
See the following. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1218
That should fix things for you.

Thank you very much for your effort, but I’ve been there, done that, and still can’t get the update.
I have the latest version of Airport Utility. When try to check for updates, I get a Microsoftian error message that tells me, among other things, to “check my network settings” but doesn’t tell me what to look for or how to correct it.
I had this problem the last time, but I don’t remember how I resolved it.

Just run Airport Utility, and it show up immediately. It’s a good thing I read MDN, because I often go for weeks without needing to run Airport Utility. I would not have known about the update.
@Harvey
Hmm… Not sure why that’s happening.
Reset your Base Station and then set it up again from scratch. (I’m not sure which one you have). Then try installing the update as I described above by going into the Airport Utility. There’s a setting on the menu/window for “Updates”. You can set it to notify you etc. I think there’s a “Check now” button.
Still not working?
@Harvey
Try this:

@Harvey
Make sure you are connected with a WIRED connection, not wireless. If youwere connected wireless, and problem will likely result in no connection to your base station until you connect wired.
just my thoughts,
Tom
@ Eric the Red:
Thanks, I was thinking about that possibility on my way to work… I remember doing that in the past now that you mention it…
@Harvey
There is a “check for updates” option in the airport utility application’s main menu. Make sure the base station is selected and try that.
