Calgary Store Mystery Is Solved (March 27th, 2008)

The on-going mystery over Apple’s plans to open a store in Calgary (Alb.) have been solved with the discovery that the company will open a store at Market Mall on the city’s northwest side. The 170-store mall is operated by Cadillac Fairview, which operates several other Canadian malls where Apple stores are located. Apple originally planned to open a store at the Chinook Centre in late 2006, about 10 miles southeast of this new location. However, the store never materialized, and it’s not clear why Apple’s plans changed. However, it is know they were substantially committed to Chinook Centre when changed their mind. The Market Mall store could open by this October.
