“Digital technology giant Apple is to open a superstore in the Liverpool One development,” The Liverpool Daily Post reports.
“Grosvenor has kept the news under wraps for months but has now confirmed that one of the most sought-after retail brands in the world the has agreed to launch a new store in the city,” LDP reports.
“Liverpool One declined to say just where the superstore will be located within the £1bn development,” LDP reports.
“The shops themselves are created with all sorts of trendy features such as metallic walls and signage lighting. Sales of computers, software and accessories are complemented by studios, theatres and an ipod bar,” LDP reports.

Oh shoot. Not Liverpool, NY. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
Peace.
Simultaneously the Beatles catalogue is released on iTunes!
No, they mean the REAL Liverpool, as in scousers, scallies, Curtis Warren, and of course, The Beatles.
Wake up Apple ! We need more stores elsewhere than US and UK !!!
C’mon Apple, you should have your presence in each country of the world.
Even if we’re talking about small or very tiny retailer stores, or local partners.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be two stories with a crystal staircase and lots of giveaways.
Mac+ –
Give them time. We don’t want Apple to do a Gateway on us.
An Apple store in Liverpool is going to be dead ace (very good).
Beatles iTunes profits will go to the Legless Tart and Tone Deaf Japanese Women’s foundation.
Just my $0.02
Ha ha… they’d better bolt down those iMacs!
All the store profits will have to be spent on security staff or this will be a gold mine for the locals!
Can’t wait I’m asked “Eh mayyyte, wanna buy an iMac?” down the local!
What about Calgary?
You know what, forget Calgary. I moving to Montreal so i can have access to an Apple store. i can’t keep waiting forever.
I bet the store will be open 8 days a week.
@Ray,
Thank god I finished drinking my water before I read your comment!
“Legless”?!? She’s not legless, she’s got at least one leg.
“She’s not legless, she’s got at least one leg.”
Bipedally challenged?
Calm down, calm down…
Paul McCartney famously bought Heather Mills a plane one Christmas…
…and razor so she could shave her other leg.
@Lurker_PC
I thought Carousel Center was in Liverpool!
Not much of a secret, it was known that Apple was opening a store here in Liverpool months ago!
Will have somewhere to go and browse round during lunch now! all but 30 seconds away from the office.
The main anchor stores of John Lewis and Debenhams are due to open May 29th, The Disney Store is also relocating and told me they hope to be in for end of May also so me think it will be open sooner rather than the end of Sept when the whole scheme is due to be opened.
Nobody can get access to any part of the site (this is a £1bn project, so site is huge) to find out if anyone else is shopfitting.
Keep you posted though!
