RUMOR: BBC shows coming to Apple’s iTunes Store this week

“The BBC’s commercial arm is expected to announce a deal to distribute shows via the iTunes video store [this] week,” Chris Williams reports for The Register.

“A TV industry source claims BBC Worldwide will on Tuesday detail plans to set up shop at Apple’s online media mall. Our source says BBC Worldwide’s digital media director Simon Danker has contacted the BBC’s third party production partners to inform them of the new distribution channel,” Williams reports.

“It’s unclear whether the BBC content will be available internationally,” Williams reports.

  1. I have all of the Top Gear episodes on dvds. Took me forever and a day to get them via BT.

    I still watch Top Gear when they come out on BBC America but they edit most the best parts like the news and any funny comments before and after they show their video clips.

    Also, when they them on BBC America, the so-called “new episodes” are at 2 seasons behind. AARRGGGHHH!!!

    Feels good to have the real thing tucked away in my dvd case.

    I have paid for Farty Towels for years.
    Mainly by using anecdotal quotes that caused recipients to reply with a blank stare with a hint of a “is he off his meds again” concern in their eyes….and DON”T mention the war!
